Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 August 2026
1. Who we are
Bodge Job Apps is the developer of Findsy. This Privacy Policy explains how Findsy accesses, collects, uses, shares, stores and deletes information when you use the app.
For privacy enquiries or deletion requests, please use the developer contact email shown in the Developer contact section of Findsy's Google Play listing. Please do not send sensitive information unless it is necessary for us to deal with your request.
2. Information Findsy processes
Findsy may process the following information when it is required for game functionality:
- Photos you choose to capture or submit as part of a Findsy challenge.
- Game and session information, such as a game/room identifier, player or session identifier, host status, challenge state, scores, results and timestamps.
- Leaderboard and statistical information generated from gameplay where leaderboard or “Hardest” features are used.
- Technical information that may be processed automatically by our hosting/service provider to operate and secure the service, such as network requests, IP addresses and service logs.
Findsy does not sell your personal information.
3. Camera and photos
Findsy uses the device camera and/or photo functionality only where needed for photo-based game features. A photo is only submitted to the Findsy service when you choose to use it as part of the game.
Photos submitted during multiplayer gameplay may be displayed to the other players participating in that game. If a photo qualifies for a “Hardest Today”, “Hardest This Week” or “Hardest of All Time” feature, it may also be displayed to other Findsy users for the relevant period.
Please avoid including private documents, addresses, financial information or other sensitive personal information in challenge photos.
4. Why we use this information
We use information only where necessary to provide and maintain Findsy, including to:
- create and join multiplayer game sessions;
- send and display challenges and challenge photos;
- determine game state, scores, winners and host changes;
- provide leaderboard and “Hardest” features;
- prevent abuse and troubleshoot technical problems; and
- maintain the security and reliability of the service.
5. Service providers and sharing
Findsy uses Supabase as a backend service provider for functions such as storing and synchronising game data and supporting multiplayer functionality. Information required to provide these services is transmitted to and processed using Supabase infrastructure.
We do not share personal information with advertisers or sell it to data brokers. Information may be disclosed where required by law, to protect users or the service, or where necessary to investigate security or abuse.
6. Data retention
We follow a data-minimisation approach and aim to keep photos for the shortest period needed for their purpose.
Ordinary challenge photos
Ordinary challenge photos are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed for the relevant game or feature.
“Hardest Today”
A qualifying photo may be retained only for the relevant day and is then removed unless it is independently required by another active retention category.
“Hardest This Week”
A qualifying photo may be retained only for the relevant week and is then removed unless it is independently required by another active retention category.
“Hardest of All Time”
The current qualifying photo may be retained until a harder qualifying image replaces it, after which the replaced image is removed unless another legitimate retention requirement applies.
Game and statistical data
Where possible, leaderboard and statistical metadata is retained separately from the underlying image. Non-image game records may be retained for longer where necessary to operate rankings, maintain service integrity, resolve faults or meet legal obligations.
7. Data deletion and privacy requests
You may ask us to delete information associated with you where we can reasonably identify that information. Use the developer contact email shown on Findsy's Google Play listing and explain what you would like deleted. We may need enough information to identify the relevant game/session data, but we will not ask for more information than is reasonably necessary.
Some information may already have been automatically deleted under the retention rules above. We may also retain limited information where required by law, for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or to establish or defend legal claims.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to a small online game, including access controls and secure network transport provided by our hosting and platform services. No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security, but we aim to minimise the amount of personal information stored and the time for which it is retained.
9. Family use
Findsy is designed to be family-friendly. Parents and guardians should supervise younger users where appropriate, particularly when deciding what appears in photographs. Users should not intentionally submit unnecessary personal or sensitive information through challenge photos.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Findsy changes, when our service providers change, or when privacy requirements change. The latest version will remain available at this URL and the “Last updated” date above will be revised.
